The OptimisSport Nutrition Program is evidence based and designed by a registered dietitian. It is a customizable, structured lifestyle program to help clients lose weight safely and effectively, while preventing chronic diseases like Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, and Coronary Heart Disease. The OptimisSport Nutrition plan is based on principles of American Dietetic and Diabetes Association to help clients lose weight without feeling hungry or deprived, but feel satisfied and energized to help achieve their weight and physical activity. During the weight loss phase, clients are educated on making healthy choices that result in a lasting lifestyle change.
The program is comprised of nutrition education modules and handouts that educate clients on calorie counting, portion sizes, reading food labels, and learning how to eat out and travel while following a low calorie, high fiber diet. The program also helps clients with behavior change by providing strategies to make environments supportive and coping to help make weight loss permanent. Throughout the program, clients are provided ongoing support to help increase their accountability and focus.
